Kaitao Stage Challenge

We have ended our school year and now to take a look at our stage challenge video for 2009. All participants should be proud of their achievements.

Episode 18 is our final for the year

A big thanks to all the cast and crew who made this possible in such a short time. We are amazed that we managed to get 18 episodes out in a matter of about 13 weeks. We will come to you on a different site in 2010 which is http://ktv2010.blogspot.com so tune in when school is back in February.

KTV Episode 18

Thismay be our last episode for 2009. With this coming into our last 2 and a half weeks of school we are busy with prize giving and our formal. The students who participate wish to do the remaining episodes without the supervision they have been getting. We will see how that turns out next week.

We have been happy with what has been achieved in 2009 as far as KTV is going. We look forward to giving you more in 2010.

KTV Episode 17

KTV Episode 17 for 20/11/09. Only 4 more to go for the year. But instead of 4 we will be doing 3 and the last episode will be a year in review with snippets of all our episodes done so far and also some stories of this years events.

KTV Episode 16

We are now only five weeks away from the end of the school year. That means we will end the year at episode 21.

This episode has a new sports reporter Tamera. Welcome to the crew. We look forward to giving you the final 5 episodes for 2009.

KTV Episode 15

This is episode 15 with all the usual suspects presenting the news, events, special feature, sport and weather.

Filming was complete in record time and the ads were done with the help of some students and the playing with double greenscreen shots to see how it works.

KTV Episode 14

Here is episode 14 of KTV for 30/10/09. This is a special edition with the opening part done in English and Chinese. We have an instructor who comes to our school and was given an award for her work in teaching Chinese in the schools of Rotorua. We hope you enjoy and please feel free to leave a comment on our blog and let us know what you think. Your comments are greatly appreciated and the students doing this project enjoy receiving positive comments.

KTV Episode 13

This is the thirteen episode of KTV. Unfortunately we ran into a slight time restraint on time but got it done a little different using facial recognition software to create our presenters photos talking.

KTV Episode 12

We have a new sports reader from our Challenge Academy and wish to welcome Viv to the crew.

Enjoy our ads that we have paced in the broadcast which will be broadcast every Friday.

KTV will return

KTV will return when school starts back. We will be running 1 program per week as we are running smaller programs 4 days a week. The 4 programs are broadcast on our schools internal site with the larger program being uploaded here on a Friday.

We finish Filming at 9.30 in the morning.

The shooting went well with a few funny errors in which we may be placing a Kaitao Krackups as a Friday section for a laugh.

You will also notice we have placed four 10 second ad intervals. This is so we can get sponsors to fund new equipment for our KTV.

KTV Episode 1

Here is the first episode of KTV News Broadcast. This broadcast was done with a group of students who have never done this before. We started at 8am to get the shooting done but unfortunately ran into trouble and the final cut wasn't finished until 2:15pm.

We will get better as time goes on and it is a great learning experience for the students and Mr Fowler on how hard it really is to put a show together (Mr Fowler did the editing).

Congratulations to Aimee (News Presenter), Nature (Sports Presenter), Ngarangi (Weather Presenter), Tallita (Community Events Presenter), Jessica (Special Features Presenter), Damion (Roving Reporter) and Chantelle (Special Feature Script Writer). We have Jessie and Jessica waiting in the wings for news.

There are a lot more students who will be getting involved but not too shabby for our first attempt.
